General
At 24 inches, the Zildjian K Light Ride is a hefty kit addition, bringing deep and low-pitched, dark sound to the mix. The specialised design of this cymbal supports a range of variable accents and responses and, just like every model included in the K Series, the Light Ride features a super-specific hammer and groove pattern which helps fill the sound with more complexity and pack it with layered overtones, while the smaller bell and uneven edge further boost the versatility. These details mean that this cymbal can handle smaller acoustic settings and subtle stick work just as easily as it can handle big, amplified gigs where power is key. Fans of this Zildjian K Series cymbal include Joey Castillo from Queens of the Stone Age, Travis Barker from Blink-182 and Ronnie Vanucci from The Killers.
