With their 1000 model from the Stream bass guitar series, ESP LTD is keen on focusing on the professional market. This bass has everything that musicians in 'heavy' genres are looking for. For starters, this Stream 1004 is equipped with active humbucker pickups and has a walnut solid-body. Its eye-catching flamed maple top gives this bass guitar an air of luxury and makes it stand out from the crowd.

The Stream 1004: neck and playability

This bass has a characteristically thin U neck profile which is bolted on to its smooth, elegant body, enabling enhanced playing comfort. You can use this instrument regularly, and the chances of aggravating your wrist or fingers on this bass are minimal. What's more, the LTD 1004's maple neck features extra jumbo frets and block inlays that adorn a rosewood fretboard.

Pickups and electronics

The ESP LTR Stream 1004 bass guitar is fitted with two active humbucker SB-4 pickups that were developed in-house by ESP. These ensure a high output and a warm, full, articulated sound palette thanks to the 2-band ABQ-2S tone control. This bass possesses three potentiometers for volume, bass and treble, as well as a 3-position pickup switch so you can fine-tune your bass sound to perfection.
