Fender American Elite Dimension Bass V

General
Fender has added a whole new dimension to their lineup of bass guitars with the American Elite Dimension series. Aesthetically, the Dimension series has a vintage feel with a stylish body and a truss rod adjustment wheel that is placed at the end of the neck for easy access. However, its comfortable contours and modern electronics reveal the fact that it's aimed squarely at dedicated contemporary musicians. For instance, you'll find two passive Dimension humbuckers that are powered by an active 3-band tone circuit, as well as an additional low B string for a deep, driving tone.
Robust yet elegant
The Fender American Elite Dimension Bass has a maple neck with a matching maple fretboard. What's more, the neck is reinforced with graphite rods for optimal stability, making it highly resistant to warping due to changes in temperature or humidity, which is very common when you go out on the road. With a little help of the maple neck and fretboard, the comfortably contoured ash body offers plenty of resonance and definition. This effect is further enhanced by the HiMass bridge, which allows for excellent sustain and resonance, despite the fact that it doesn't have a string-through-body construction.
True all-rounder
If you're looking for a bass with a versatile sound, then you can't go wrong the Fender American Elite Dimension Bass V. Its active 3-band tone control and 18V preamp powering the humbuckers make it a powerful instrument that will effortlessly cut through any mix. With its punchy, driving sound and plenty of definition and sustain, this bass is an absolute joy to play. Finally, that great feel is further reinforced by the neck's asymmetrical profile and hand-oiled finish, which mean it's incredibly comfortable.

NAMM 2016: Big Fender Name Change: Deluxe Is Now Elite!
Thursday 21 January 2016Fender knows like no other that you never change a winning team. Besides a few little adjustments here and there, they usually don't mess with their successful models too much. Until now. The famous manufacturer decided to get rid of the Deluxe name and re-brand it with the slightly classier Elite moniker. Of course, this also goes with a few adjustments for the various Teles and Strats, as well as the Jazz, Precision and Dimension bass guitars.
