Are you fond of the American Jazz Bass, but do you wish it was a little more versatile? This Fender bass features a solid ash body in a transparent natural finish and has an extra string. Usually it's a low B string that's added, but you could always choose to add a high C instead. Like any Jazz Bass worth its salt, this American Elite features two single-coil pickups and a pan knob. It's equipped with 4th Generation Fender Noiseless pickups that give you that famous vintage bass sound without any unwanted noise. What's more, using the two-way switch, you can toggle between passive and active mode, with the former actually allowing for on-board 3-band equalisation. Finally, it also comes with a case, a guitar strap and a cable.
American Elite Jazz Bass V Ash Natural MN: comfortable neck
On the comfortably lightweight and richly resonant ash J-style body, you'll find a solid Fender 4-saddle HiMass Vintage bridge, which allows for longer sustain and exquisite intonation. The same focus on quality is also evident in the American Elite's compound neck, with a profile that changes from a modern C to a D, and a fretboard with a 9.5 - 14" radius. Moreover, the maple neck features a satin finish, and combined with the maple fretboard, it adds some punch and comfort to the Jazz Bass V's already excellent playing experience.

Thursday 21 January 2016Fender knows like no other that you never change a winning team. Besides a few little adjustments here and there, they usually don't mess with their successful models too much. Until now. The famous manufacturer decided to get rid of the Deluxe name and re-brand it with the slightly classier Elite moniker. Of course, this also goes with a few adjustments for the various Teles and Strats, as well as the Jazz, Precision and Dimension bass guitars.
