General

Legendary thrash metal band Megadeth has been around for decades, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that bass player David Ellefson has his own signature Jackson bass guitar. The Dave Ellefson USA Signature Concert Bass IV is an updated version with a sleek Satin Black finish. Every single detail of this quality instrument is just right, from its smooth body contours to its quartersawn maple neck with ebony fretboard and its active EMG pickups. This bass guitar's sound will blow you away!

Symphonic destruction

In Megadeth, Ellefson provides the foundations that his band members can build upon, which is reflected in his signature instruments. This Concert Bass IV is equipped with an EMG 35DC (bridge) and a 35CS (neck), two active pickups that can be adjusted to your liking by means of five controls. The volume and blend knobs don't need any further explanation; the other three pots - bass, mid and treble - provide you with an active EQ. A Jackson Hi-Mass bridge that was designed to handle low tunings makes sure that your strings sound absolutely clear at all times.

Comfort is king

If, like David Ellefson, you're playing gigs virtually every night, a comfortable instrument like this USA Signature makes life much easier. Its ergonomic contours, for instance, provide a nice fit for your body. Furthermore, the guitar's tasteful maple neck and ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl outlined sharkfin position markers have a compound radius. The further you move up the fretboard, the flatter and wider it becomes, leaving less space between frets, but more between the strings.
