When you encounter a bass with the pedigree of the Sadowsky 21-5 Vintage M/J Bass, you immediately understand why the Masterbuilt Series is not only so popular, but so superior. The comfy J-style body of this 5-string model has been hewn from a chunk of lightweight American swamp ash and fitted with a solid, bolt-on neck made from stable roasted maple and finished with a snug and familiar C-profile and a matching 12 inch fretboard radius. This sonic treat also comes complete with a tasty goody-bag, including a Certificate of Authenticity, a set of adjustment keys, S-Security strap locks, and a Sadowsky Professional Road Bag.

The Sadowsky MasterBuilt 21-5 Vintage M/J Bass: Triple the Sound

It's not just the extra low-B string that expands the range of this high-grade, German-built bass, but a neat yet extensive pickup configuration. A stacked single-coil has been set in the middle position where it delivers hum-free J-style sound, while the MM-style humbucker at the bridge provides extra-thick output. Coupled with the Vintage Tone Control and two-band EQ section of the active electronics, a meaty array of voicings can be dialled in, and when you add on not one, but two three way switches, the range is tripled. This ultra-flexible tone machine has been polished off with the stable tuning and intonation provided by lightweight, open-gear machine heads and a Just-A-Nut III nut.
