Sire offer a pure and classic J-style bass in the form of the Marcus Miller V5. Besides the friendly look and familiar sound, this instrument offers a specifically warm and tight playing comfort that you probably wouldn't find with comparable models. The natural-feel of the C-profile neck is backed up by a modern fretboard radius and considerately rounded edges, while a pair of single-coil pickups amplify a quality of sound you'd usually have to pay twice the price for. All of this is customised using the tried-and-thoroughly-tested electronics layout.

Heel mooie Jazz bas, prijs/kwaliteit zeer goed. Geen enkele imperfectie ontdekt, behalve dat de halspen iets moest worden bijgesteld. Deze blijft in de collectie! Fijn geholpen in Goes!

Vorige week deze Marcus Miller V5 bas aangeschaft, uiteraard weer vlot geleverd door Bax.
Werkelijk in alle opzichten een geweldige bas!
De afwerking, kleurcombinatie, gebruikte hardware, speelcomfort en noem maar op een kwalitatief zeer goede bas met een zeer hoge prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Ik weet zeker dat je voor dit geld geen betere bas zult vinden!
Ik heb in mijn bas verleden al heel wat Fender JB-en gehad (MIM) maar die hebben het allemaal afgelegd tegen deze Marcus Miller bas v.w.b. afwerking/ kwaliteit.
Ook is de sound van deze Marcus Miller iets wat lekker door de mix prikt.
Deze bas is inmiddels mijn hoofdbas geworden.
Zit er zelfs aan te denken om op den duur ook nog het Precision model Bass van MM aan te schaffen.
Kortom een aanrader voor alle bassisten!

Deze bas is een werkelijke parel. De bespeelbaarheid en kwaliteit is bijzonder goed voor de prijs die je betaald. Het heeft bijna alle features die je vindt in het duurdere segment. Natuurlijk kies je een instrument voor de looks, maar ook de mogelijkheid tot string-through, de fijne afgeronde (en prachtige) roasted Maple neck, de elementen en de bediening die je veel mogelijkheid geeft om je eigen sound aan te passen voor elk nummer, kortom een geweldige bas. Geen moment spijt van gehad om deze aan te schaffen naast mijn Squier FSR Classic Vibe Late 50s Precision Bass. Dit bakbeest een heavyweight in mijn collectie en gaat hier nooit de deur meer uit.

Une basse de très grande qualité et d'un extraordinaire rapport qualité/prix surtout. Tout est parfait dessus : lutherie, finition, micros. Et la jouabilité est vraiment top avec ces bords de touche et ces frettes bien arrondis. Une mention particulière pour la qualité et la beauté de l'érable torréfié vraiment très classe sur une basse de ce prix. Et puis de très bons micros vintage aussi. Même si elle est livrée sans housse ni étui je la recommande sans hésiter ! (elle est bien meilleure et de loin qu'une Squier ou une Fender Mex par exemple).

Bien que possédant une quinzaines de basses (et autant de guitares), je voulais retrouver une "jazz basse passive". J'avais entendu de bons échos de la marque SIRE Marcus Miller et cette V5-4 Alder me donne entière satisfaction. Le manche et la touche en érable torréfié procurent un touché particulièrement agréable, et les bords arrondis sont la cerise sur le gâteau. Pour résumer mon opinion sur la V5, j'apprécie l'excellente finition et le rapport qualité/prix très séduisant.
