Dipped in a Grey Metallic paint-job, the Yamaha TRBX204 bass grants affordable access to forceful, elastic sound courtesy of two ceramic pickups. By teaming up a single-coil at the bridge and a split-coil at the middle position, this bass packs a vast array of sonic options navigated via an active tone circuit and powerfully accurate bass and treble controls.
The Yamaha TRBX204 Bass: Solid Construction
This Yamaha-designed four-string has a long, 34 inch scale length resulting in a tight string tension and a focussed and controlled playing feel. The neck is a narrow 40mm and couples with the relatively round 9.5 inch fretboard radius for a snug grip, which will feel immediately familiar in the fret-hand of any guitarists. The solid basswood body, meanwhile, lays down a balanced and fully resonant foundation while the rosewood fretboard adds a touch of warmth.
