General
The SM1GP is a neck from Yamaha for soprano saxophones. With a saxophone neck, the bore has a big impact on the sound and feel of the saxophone. This M1 neck has a small bore, which is a lot easier to play. You have a lot of control over the instrument with this, but little flexibility in terms of sound. This model has a straight neck. Some players prefer a curved neck, for which the SM1RGP is suitable. It is made of brass for a good, resonant sound and has a gold finish. You can use it for Yamaha's YSS-875EX Custom saxophone.
