General
Adorned with a hand-engraved bell and outfitted with a versatile octave key system, Yamaha's YTS-480 tenor saxophone boasts some of the same features as some of its professional siblings, making it a brilliant choice for up-and-coming sax players. The 62-style neck ensures improved tone and response, while the two-point contact takes care of enhanced projection and a free-blowing response, and the improved B-C# connection helps ensure consistent closing of the low C# key for a clear response in the lower registers.
The YTS-480: Thoughtfully Designed
The two-piece bell is made from two brass sheets that were skilfully joined before being precision-machined and adorned with a hand-engraved pattern, while the left-hand seesaw mechanism has been designed to boost playability as well as the playing comfort along with the unique teardrop-style F-key. The individual key guards feature adjustable screw cap stoppers to support pro-grade adjustments, and the redesigned octave key system gives you the freedom to swap the included 62-style neck for a Custom Z or Custom EX neck (none included). The Yamaha YTS-480 comes complete with a semi-rigid case.
