General
Gretsch's Streamliner series offers quality hollow-body guitars for a relatively affordable price. Take the G2655, for instance, a manageable, semi-acoustic model with a V Stoptail, a unique sound, and a double cutaway that allows for a pleasurable playing experience. Would you like to play jazz, and make your blues and rock performances heard at a considerable volume? This Gretsch's spruce centre block and Broad'Tron double-coil pickups make that possible!
G2655 Streamliner Center Block Junior: great sound and a stable construction
This semi-acoustic guitar's warm Flagstaff Sunset finish covers a hollow body made of laminated maple. Its set-in neck is fitted with a rosewood fretboard, resulting in a beautifully rich acoustic sound with a creamy, punchy accent. Beneath its top, this Streamliner Junior hides a lightweight spruce centre block that reduces feedback and reinforces the guitar's construction.
Broad’Tron and V Stoptail
Also noteworthy are the G2655's two Broad'Tron pickups, which deliver powerful bass tones, sparkling trebles and growling mids, amounting to a unique guitar sound that truly comes into its own in a band setting. To ensure optimal tuning stability and sustain, this Center Block Junior is equipped with an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, a stylish V Stoptail and a string nut made of synthetic bone.

Gretsch fans can roughly be divided into two groups. On the one hand you have the purists who think the specifications from the 1950s and 1960s - the Gretsch heydays - are beyond dispute. On the other hand, you have the more practically minded guitarists who like to make modifications to their instruments. Luckily, both camps are being catered to with Gretsch's new series: the Vintage Select Editions and the Players Editions. Go for a modern classic like the G6118T-SGR or travel back in time to 1962 with the Gretsch G6119T-62GE!

Gretsch is pulling out all the stops for NAMM 2016. We're not just talking about new editions of existing guitars here, we're talking about a whole new series of guitars. The Streamliner series takes the flair and the sound of vintage Gretsch guitars, and combines them with modern-day playing comfort. Each model comes in a version with a Bigsby B60 tremolo and a version with a fixed bridge.
