The Chapman Guitars SAR63 is the signature semi-acoustic guitar of none other than Chris Robertson of Black Stone Cherry. Built to rock, but with a story deeper than the stage: the name refers to his father, the man who taught him to play guitar. Chapman and Chris Robertsen have that foundation to work into how this guitar sounds, plays and feels. The alder body with curved maple top and F-hole gives you that characteristic semi-acoustic warmth with just that bit of extra air. Furthermore, the Stone White finish and amber celluloid binding give it a timeless, cool look!

Extremely comfortable to play

The toasted maple neck with rosewood fingerboard plays light and comfortable. The C-profile sits nicely in the hand for long playing sessions. Everything about the neck focuses on control and playing comfort, whether you play power chords or want to play fat blues riffs. For instance, the jumbo stainless-steel frets feel tight and smooth, giving you extra precision. Especially useful when using bends and vibrato intensively. In addition, the glow-in-the-dark side inlays are a subtle and practical addition for situations with less light!

High-level tone versatility

What you get back from the Chapman SAR63 in terms of sound is at least as convincing as its looks. The SAR63 Wilkinson R-series Alnico V pickups effortlessly go from subtle cleansounds to brisk rock tones. With the coil-split, you easily switch to a brighter, single-coil-like sound and your tone remains nicely open and usable when turning your tone knob. Even when turning down your volume, everything remains clear and defined without getting muddy. Combined with the warm, open sound of the semi-acoustic body, this makes for a surprisingly versatile guitar.
