General

The Chapman Guitars Scout Traditional is an electric guitar that knows exactly what it wants to be. It has a mahogany body with flame maple top, a burnt maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and a versatile HSS pickup configuration with coil split, resulting in a warm, rich sound. The sound gets extra expression thanks to the Chapman Redline Special pickup at the bridge and the two Straight-Six pickups. But as a musician, you also get plenty of tools to experiment with, such as the Wilkinson WVS130 tremolo and a 5-way pickup switch. So the Scout Traditional is a true all-rounder, with which you can play blues as easily as it rocks!

More flexibility than you expect

At the bridge is a Redline Special that picks up nicely when needed, and in the neck and middle position two Straight-Six pickups take over for a warmer, more open sound. Together, they cover a wide range of sounds that you switch through effortlessly with the 5-way switch. But the best trick? The push-pull coil split on the tone knob. Just pull the tone knob and the humbucker turns into a single-coil, with all the bright, rich sounds that come with it. So the Chapman Scout Traditional gives you more sound options than you might expect at first sight!

Comfortable and stylish playing

The burnt maple neck with rosewood fingerboard feels very good quality. Add the C-neck profile and stainless-steel frets, and you have a guitar with premium build and playing quality. Smooth, warm and pleasant for the hands and fingers, even after long playing sessions. Moreover, the Scout traditional does not compromise visually either: the flame maple top in Shadow Burst with reveal binding and matching headstock let the wood show through beautifully. Combined with the practical and stylish glow-in-the-dark side inlays on the neck, the Scout Traditional gets the sleek and tough look that will make many a guitarist jealous! In short: the Chapman Guitars Scout Traditional does exactly what you expect, but even more!
