Pearl designed the Modern Utility snare drum series for drummers who want a solid, reliable drum without any bells and whistles. With a relatively small diameter of 12 inches and a depth of 7 inches, this drum is ideal as a side snare. It's made of 7 layers of maple that produce a full sound that is suitable for any style of music. The shell has a Matte Natural lacquer finish the hardware is chrome-plated.
