General
Of all the drums in your kit, the snare is probably the most influential element in determining your own unique sound. Tama offers various snare drums that appeal to different drummers in their Sound Lab Project series, which consists of various special shell constructions and high-quality hardware. This Classic Dry Aluminium shell is 14 x 5.5 inches and made of 1.2mm-thick aluminium. It features Steel Mighty Hoops and 8 lugs for a dry, sharp tone and a short sustain.
Classic look
This snare will take you back to the aluminium snares that were introduced to the market a few decades ago. The moulded ring around the middle ensures the sound is diffused before it's reflected back, resulting in a more vintage sound than you might expect. Finally, the Superstar lugs add the perfect finishing touch.
