General

Taking natural sound and feel to the ultimate level when it comes to electronic drum kits, Roland offer up the PDA140F. This digital floor tom comes armed with smart dual-zone triggering, a 14 inch deep maple shell, and chrome-plated hardware. Both 14 inch batter and resonant heads are multi-ply mesh-heads, where three layers make up the upper and two layers make up the lower, while the Dual Zone trigger system individually responds to strikes at the edge and strikes closer to the centre. Since this is processed by a special sensor system, the 'hot spots' we've been used to with standard pads are eliminated, so we're treated to full response across the entire head.
