Devine Onyx 15SXA 2.1 Speaker System

Excellent sound. Heavier than I expected, but provides a very stable base to the Devine12 speaker. Plenty of options on the inputs. If I have any cause to complain about this speaker, it's things like not having a through power connector, like a C13/14 pair. The stencilling on the label could do with being a bit brighter and larger, because it's going to be dark round the back.

Really meaty sub, bigger and heavier than I expected, but not unmanageable. Niggles... wish it had a through C14 power connector, or Neutrik pair because you ARE going to use this with a pole and main speaker for sure. But the range of controls and options makes this super versatile. The stencilled labels on the back could also be a little bigger and heavier because this is a beast you will want to put in the corner, and it gets dark back there.

I was admittedly skeptical about these, given how inexpensive they are. But I wanted some small speakers I could mount on the walls of my studio space for when I was rehearsing with my band. I had my full 1600w PA set up in there, but it was taking up too much room (plus the hassle of having to constantly take it down and set it up whenever there are gigs on), so downsizing to 4 100w speakers, and I was unsure.



I've been powering them on a 1600w powered mixer, and I've been cranking the volume up, and up, and up. I am actually quite astounded by how much punch these things have. 10 years ago, a 100w speaker at this price would have just been killed immediately with the amount of power I've been putting through these.



Would definitely recommend these to anyone looking a nice small speaker that looks good and sounds better. For installations in a pub or a restaurant, with 4 or more of these, they would also be fantastic.



With a bit of juice pumped into these, there is a proper thump from the bass frequencies. I thought a subwoofer was most definitely going to be required for any kind of bass, but I was very wrong there.

This is the thicker wire version and represents excellent value for money. Connectors are good quality, I have no problem recommending this item! Work brilliantly!
