General

The Optogate PB-05 E is the budget version of Optogate’s automatic microphone mute. Simply place it between your microphone and XLR cable, and the infrared sensor will detect whether you are standing in front of the microphone. When you move away, the signal is automatically and significantly attenuated: ideal for reducing crosstalk and minimising the risk of feedback on a busy stage. You can adjust the detection range using a 270° trimpot. Operates on 24–48V phantom power.
