The SGX-2 offers six famous acoustic pianos from Germany, Austria and Japan, and just for the Grandstage, Korg have added an upright from Italy as well. The other sound engines include everything from electric pianos to organs. Thanks to a user-friendly control panel, you'll have the GS1-88's functions down in no time. Korg have provided this digital piano with Favorite buttons so you can store specific sounds and call them up again in a flash. The integrated SST technology (Smooth Sound Transition) boasts a natural, virtually inaudible transition from sounds to effects. Finally, this stage piano comes complete with a music stand and a damper pedal.

De pianoklanken zijn werkelijk fenomenaal te noemen, door hun natuurlijke en uitgebalanceerde karakter. Ook de overige klanken (orgels, strings, synths) zijn zeer goed, en ook nog uitvoerig regelbaar (en te combineren; zie de beschrijving elders).
De bediening is (in tegenstelling tot bijvoorbeeld Korg's eigen Kronos, met verwante klanken) relatief eenvoudig en intuïtief.
Het toetsenbord is een fractie 'ondieper' dan sommige andere klavieren, maar voelt verder heel goed aan en laat zich licht en dynamisch genuanceerd bespelen. Ook dit is eventueel nog naar persoonlijke voorkeur per klank bij te regelen, zowel in het geheugen als direkt tijdens het spelen.
Korg heeft hiermee een topper afgeleverd.

Friday 7 July 2017 By LizanneThe two new stage pianos by Korg offer all the functions you need for an optimal live performance. Both models are equipped with the same sound engines (seven of them!) and effects. The only difference is that the GS1-73 Grandstage has 72 keys (E1-E7) while the GS1-88 Grandstage has 88 (A0-C8). These pianos come complete with a pedal, music stand and a power cable, but most importantly, they combine excellent quality and design and feature a user interface that's been developed especially for playing on stage.
