General

The Fender MA-1 3/4 Steel is what they call a mini acoustic. This acoustic steel-string guitar is considerably smaller than a standard-size guitar. Its shorter scale length and manageable body make the durable, comfortably playable MA-1 an excellent guitar for kids up to about eleven years old and beginners who are looking for an instrument that is easy to handle. What's more, the MA-1 makes for an excellent travel guitar and is of course cheaper than its bigger brothers.

MA-1: warm and stylish

This guitar's sides and back were made of sapele, a tropical wood type that gives the MA-1 3/4 Steel a warm, full tone as well as an impressive look. Other beautiful features include the Fender logo on the headstock and the decorations around the sound hole. The MA-1's steel strings take full responsibility for the guitar's sparkling sound, which is excellent for music types such as pop and rock. The new and improved machine heads ensure excellent tuning stability.

Fender MA-1 3/4 Steel steel-string guitar

I've been playing guitar on and off for 25 years and owned so many electrics and acoustics over that time. My wife wanted an acoustic but didn't want a full size one, so we opted for a 3/4 size. After searching about, we came across this Fender MA-1 and BAX had it much, much cheaper than the other shops which obviously, set off some alarm bells. We decided to bite the bullet, and I am so glad we did. The guitar arrived on the day we chose (we could have had it sooner, but opted to have it delivered on a certain day). Tracking info was given for it's journey from The Netherlands to the UK and when it came, it was extremely well packed. Out of the box, the guitar was tuned about a whole step down, which is normal - strings need bedding in, but it sounds really, really nice. The build quality is great too. I can honestly say it sounds better than my old Yamaha APX9C that I had, which was 4x more expensive. The photos here doesn't do it justice - it is a bit darker than the pictures. She'll love the guitar (and she does already).

Fender MA-1 3/4 Steel steel-string guitar

Fantastic little guitar played straight out the box, well made, lovely sound, brought for my sons 8th birthday and it's perfect, my only criticism is the gig bag is very thin and offers little more than dust protection not really suited to taking the guitar into school for lessons so we had to buy a padded bag which will hopefully have the guitar last him for many years

Fender MA-1 3/4 Steel steel-string guitar

Merci encore!

Fender MA-1 3/4 Steel steel-string guitar

Fender MA-1 3/4 Steel steel-string guitar
