If you already own an electric guitar, an amplifier and a computer with DAW software, this Bax Advised Electric Guitar Essential Recording Kit gives you everything else you need to record your music. The kit consists of a Shure SM 57 dynamic instrument microphone that has its own internal shock mount and the Audient iD4 USB audio interface. You also get a set of headphones, a microphone stand and an XLR cable by Procab.

To be fair you can’t go wrong with an sm57 but Bax was great, really well priced (don’t buy cheap, chances are it’s a fake and sounds nasty) and speedy delivery and well packaged. Thanks!

Audient iD4 mk2 is a very well specified and robust audio interface. I am using it with an Apple MacBook and, after a slight problem in installing the optional software driver, have found it generally easy and quick to set up and use. I am still experimenting with levels, especially when mixing DAW tracks with live recording, but that is inexperience on my part. The unit itself looks very well made and I expect it to last a long time.
