Efficiently mix and monitor full surround sound over eight channels with the hefty SPL SMC 7.1 Silver monitor controller. This controller offers the full support of Solo, Solo-In-Place, and Solo-To-Centre features to check mono compatibility in precise detail, and to pin-point the perfect stereo image position. As well as two stereo inputs, a full 7.1 configuration can be hooked up to the SMC - definitely useful for comparing two versions of the mix, and if a subwoofer is added to the set-up, the LFE button can simply be activated to accommodate it, while the big, tactile, aluminium volume knob planted on the front control panel is actually an 8-layer potentiometer, so the dB levels have been divided divided over eight sections, from 0dB to -95dB. A convenient Mute button sets up your system with a protective fail-safe when any peaking problems arise, and for headphone monitoring, an output with a dedicated volume control has been fitted.
