With this set of Equator D8s, you're treating yourself to two high-grade coaxial active studio monitors. The D8 is an average-sized monitor that produces an excellent, full sound. At first glance, it looks like a regular speaker turned upside down, but looks can be deceiving. This monitor has a coaxial speaker configuration - which means the tweeter and woofer are mounted on the same axis - and what you might mistake for a tweeter is actually a bass reflex port. As all frequencies emanate from the same source, you won't have to worry about phase differences between woofer and tweeter.

Measuring 356 x 254 x 305 mm, the D8 does not exactly boast exceptional dimensions. Its frequency response, which extends from 44 Hz to 20 kHz, and its 106dB SPL are remarkable, however, making the D8 an outstanding, versatile asset for your studio.
