General

Studio monitors come in various sizes and shapes and Focal is a brand that is highly praised by a great number of producers. This Focal Shape 40 active studio monitor comes as a single unit and is compact enough to fit in just about any space. Most studio monitors are equipped with a hole in the housing near the woofer or tweeter known as a bass port, but the Focal Shape has passive radiators instead. The advantage of this is that these monitors can be placed very close to the wall, again beneficial in studios where space is limited.

Features of the Focal Shape 40

For such a compact speaker, the Focal Shape 40 delivers an impressive sound. Its 4-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter ensure a response of 60 Hz - 35 kHz, which is more than enough, especially in smaller rooms. It doesn't really matter where you're seated, as this speaker offers a spacious sweet spot. If it's accuracy you're after, the Focal Shape will enable you to mix with confidence!
