General

The Shape 65 active studio monitor is the largest in Focal's Shape series with a 6.5-inch woofer for especially deep bass, which is why mixing engineers around the world speak highly of the brand. This compact speaker can be placed right up against the wall because it's equipped with passive radiators instead of a bass port. This makes the Shape highly suitable for studios where space is limited, but when it comes to quality, it can support any production of any size.

Features of the Focal Shape 65

The woofer of the Shape 65 is responsible for tones of around the 50 Hz mark while the tweeter takes care of everything around the 35 kHz. More importantly, the audio characteristics are very neutral and pure. Focal offers an honest sound that many sound engineers swear by. The sweet spot is flexible thanks to the tweeter's wide audio dispersion angle. With its attractive walnut and black finish, this monitor looks just as good as it sounds!

This is one of the best upgrade I had.It is not possible to find any negativity around this Focal model,stereo image is wide and deep,lows are tight and well defined.It is amazing how much punch can this speaker bring in the low end conidering their size;the room was vibrating.
Mids and high are exceptionally clear withouth any oddities around 2khz or 5khz.I cannot say anything but quote one of the reviews here "there is something addictive in this spekers",and it is true I found myself more listening and enjoying than actually makin the music.For sure this speakers delivers above its pricetag,warmly recomended.

Superverfijnde studio-monitoren met een mooi gebalanceerd basgeluid door de dubbele reflex-membranen. Voor deze prijs zijn er geen betere te vinden. Ze hebben een fijne sweet-spot, ze zijn niet vermoeiend en heel open, waardoor je nauwkeurig in de mix kunt horen.

Beluister deze speakers nu ruim 2 jaar in combinatie met Yamaha Subwoofer. Blijf me iedere dag verbazen hoe open het geluid van deze Focals zijn en, omdat ik ze in woonkamer gebruik, hoe breed en helder ze klinken. Wilde eerst voor Adams A7x gaan maar ondanks mooie tweeter is die puur voor close monitoring terwijl deze een breed geluidsbeeld geven. Laag viel me tegen dus getwijfeld over grotere twin broertje maar uiteindelijk toch de Yamaha HS 8 toegevoegd. Nu tweede woning en ook hier klinken ze geweldig. Aanrader :-)

Deze Focal Shape 65 Blind besteld alvorens ze leverbaar waren en gehoord en gezien te hebben. Ik gebruik in de woonkamer reeds jaren Focal speakers voor hifi en home theater opstelling. Waarschijnlijk hadden we bij de eerste levering van Bax ons stelletje in huis. Thuis aangesloten en genieten maar. Naar alle waarschijnlijkheid worden dit toppertjes in de verkoop.
