General
The Genelec 8341AP SAM is an incredibly advanced and accurate studio monitor. Genelec has been sitting on top of the studio gear pile for some time now and the SAM-concept monitor gives them every right to be there. SAM technology calibrates the monitor perfectly to its environment. So, if your studio is a little less than acoustically perfect (or the monitors are not set up perfectly), this monitor will adjust itself and continue to deliver an accurate sound image. The coaxial placement of the tweeter, mid and the woofer puts them in the same place to remove the risk of any phase issues, however minimal. A powerful, professional monitor.
Tips or comments about this product- For calibration, the separately available GLM 2.0 User Kit is required.

Na 12jaar de Genelec 8040's te hebben gehad, besloten om eens voor een upgrade te gaan, het zijn de 8341's geworden.
En daar heb ik geen spijt van, als je genelec kent dan is het geen nieuws dat deze monitoren extreem eerlijk geluid geven. Maar met deze monitoren hoor ik toch weer details in platen die ik nog niet eerder gehoord had, wat mede komt door het extreem precieze stereoveld en de super strakke hoge frequenties. Na het gebruik van de GLM calibratie kit werd het geluid in mijn ruimte nog strakker. (geen symmetrische ruimte maar wel akoestisch behandeld)

Simply the best near field monitor for this price. I would choose these over the Neumann KH 310s / 150s. I think these speakers work better with a subwoofer. Incredible build quality. The speakers get sufficient loud, stereo imaging is excellent, and all details come through. Highly recommend the GLM kit with it for room correction.
