Drawing on the design of the exclusive E8B, KRK has developed the beautiful active VXT-6. The silk dome tweeter and the Kevlar woofer, with its stiffer, lighter cone, reduce distortion and pack a fantastic low bass punch. The versatile, fully active 90W RMS VXT-6 reaches a peak SPL of 111 dB and is a great choice, whether you need studio monitors or a sound system for DJing. What a knock-out!
Design of the KRK VXT 6
The KRK VXT 6 is not only aesthetically more pleasing than its predecessor (the KRK V 6 II), but its new design also has audio-technical benefits. Important features include extremely low resonance, narrow ports to reduce port turbulence, a design with molded curves for better sound characteristics and a much wider sweet spot. All of these factors come together to result in even clearer trebles and lower, more powerful bass tones.
Less distortion
The 6-inch woven Kevlar woofer provides a warm, natural sound. The 1-inch dome tweeter is fashioned from pure silk, ensuring a fast transient response and well-defined high tones. Due to their natural materials, both the tweeter and the woofer allow heat to escape and therefore reduce unwanted side effects such as compression, allowing the monitor to maintain its sonic signature.

Een flink stuk groter, maar de laag weergave welke ik miste bij de VXT-4 zijn nu aanwezig!
Top monitoren!
Top service bij Bax, waar ze ruim de tijd nemen om elke vraag in tot in de puntjes te beantwoorden.

Er zitten grove gebuik sporen op, verpakking is verfrommeld. Zegel was wel in takt. Bax meent dat dit in de fabriek is gedaan, en daar moet je het mee doen.
Ontdanks dat er niets mee mis is, blijft het onduidelijk of zie niet al eens gebruikt zijn. Dat is vervelend als je iets nieuws koopt. Dus mensen let op bij het uitpakken!!!

Gelukkig is de oplossing wel vrij simpel zelf te fixen en ook niet duur. Maar blijft jammer dat KRK op iets van 40 cent per box heeft bespaard waar door je rare problemen kan krijgen.
De 4 sterren is gebaseerd op het erg goede en eerlijke geluid waar deze boxen over beschikken, toch wel een van de zo niet de betere in deze prijsklasse.

Ik had vroeger Adam 7X. De KRK VXT6 is helder in de mid en opener dan de Adam 7X, naar mijn mening. Dit wil niet zeggen dat de KRK is beter maar ik vind het zelf prettiger met de KRK te werken gezien mijn ervaring met Adam 7X in mijn kleine studio.
