Mackie MR524 Active Studio Monitor (Single Unit)

Great sounding Monitor Speakers. No Hiss, great Bass. Sound great at both low volume and loud volume. Very happy with these. Went through 3 different sets of monitor speakers before buying these. But due to the audible hiss off other brands became quite annoyed thinking all monitor speakers hiss. This is not the case. And these are the answer. Not too expensive either.

Great sounding Monitor Speakers.

No Hiss, great Bass.

Sound great at both low volume and loud volume.

Went through 3 different sets of monitor speakers before buying these. But due to the audible hiss off other brands became quite annoyed thinking all monitor speakers hiss.

This is not the case. And these are the answer.

Mackie MR524 Active Studio Monitor (Single Unit)

I would call this one a little less neutral then other monitors tested. It has quite some potent bass level and overall quality feel I would call just ok'ish. In one of them was a card for a software long gone and no longer available. (Stopped in 2021). Biggest gripe I had was a rather limited dynamic range (and that I suspect being attributed to class D amplification). Up to a certain level these sound nice. But they swing quite fast into amp saturation (even in midtone range) where things get a bit nasty. Also one had a bit of rattlign noise from the plastc baffle thus my question about quality control. They are ok in general but for the price you might want to look a little further.
