General
Thanks to Genelec's patented Laminar Spiral Enclosure technology, you can enjoy the deep, rich bass sound of the 7050B combined with a small, sleek housing. With five headphone input channels and an LFE channel with an 85/120Hz reproduction bandwidth selection, the 8020A/7050A system is suited for 5.1 productions. You can also use the 7050B to accompany the 8030A monitor.
Genelec designed the 7050B to be paired with their 8020A active monitors in studio and surround applications, and in the 8030A stereo setup. The subwoofer has its own single 8-inch (205) driver that is powered by a 80W power amplifier.
It has a frequency response of 25 Hz to 85 Hz (+/- 3 dB) and the ability to produce a sine wave of 100 dB SPL in half space at 1 metre. Just like all of the other Genelec LSE active subwoofers, the 7050B produces extremely little distortion.

Wrote the following about Genelec 7050B active subwoofer
Sinds een kleine maand in het bezit van deze Super mooie SUB van Genelec.
Als Amateur producer, maar echte Audiofiel, kan ik alleen maar zeggen WOW!!
Wat een erg indrukwekkende Subwoofer! Niet zo vaak een dergelijke "muzikaal" laag
gehoord van een Sub als deze. Ik gebruik hem in combinatie met de Genelec 8030c, en voor de meeste muziek dus niet echt een SUB nodig. Maar ik maak, en luister ook graag naar Trailer/film Muziek.
Dan krijg je dus echt vlak laag tot en met 25HZ! wel twee weken bezig geweest met de juiste plek vinden in mijn Studio, om de juiste Fase te krijgen, dat viel niet mee dat geef ik toe. Want hij kan dus ook écht de Fase van je Monitoren geheel uit Balans krijgen! Dan krijg je onrealistisch dof geluid. Nu kan ik de SUB toevoegen zonder verschil te horen behalve de juiste toegevoegde volume qua laag. Muziek wordt voelbaar en gaat zo laag dat je het voelt maar niet echt meer hoort, belangrijkste op laag volume ook!!
Genelec staat bekend om de iets "Forward" geluid, en ja dat is ook zo in mijn beleving. Maar Man! als je de Monitoren Zo goed als je kunt in Fase Krijgt wat wel héél veel precisie werk vereist dan krijg je ook wat!
Super realistisch geluid, soms plaatsing gewoon eng omdat je niet weet waar het vandaan komt. Nog meer werk te doen qua Acoustiek , heb al wat QRD Difussors maar de nieuw Home Studio heeft er nog een aantal nodig. Kortom! Waanzinnige SUB Mits op juiste wijze gebruikt! Anders ook de buren echt niet blij! 300% waarde naar zijn geld zoals alles van Genelec!

Zoals alles van Genelec: professioneel, goed ontworpen, goede gebruiksaanwijzing.
Levering via Bax verliep probleemloos: deze kast is vrij zwaar, maar goed verpakt in twee dozen.
Zeer tevreden.
