Dreadbox Artemis Synthesizer

In recent years, Dreadbox has proven itself as a manufacturer that knows how to build small analogue synthesisers. So often compact, but full of possibilities and with a full, creamy, analogue sound character. Partly as a kind of present to celebrate their first ten years, they have now launched the Dreadbox Artemis. This is a 6-voice analogue synth with two oscillators per voice, as well as the choice of extra noise or an extra sub-oscillator. Sync and FM are supported, PWM is supported, in terms of oscillators in general there are more possibilities than you would think at first sight.

Sound capabilities of the Dreadbox Artemis

Dreadbox itself states that their lowpass filter is 'creamy', we obviously like that flavour! You choose from 12 or 24 dB, AND you also have an additional highpass filter, with cutoff and resonance. Envelopes for loudness and filter, a pair of LFOs, arpeggiator, sequencer, a modulation matrix, these are by now the basic components you find everywhere, and so also in this product. As if it were not enough: you also get four effect processors. Distortion, chorus, delay and reverb, and so your sound is going to sound extremely powerful very soon. There is support for polyphonic aftertouch if you have a keyboard that supports it, and the Artemis is even compatible with MPE. All in all, another very potent analogue synth for your studio!
