I can't review product yet as this is a Christmas present,but delivery was prompt and on time and pricing was good. The only downside was the packaging was open when delivered.I spoke to Bax office who said they will make a note of it in case of any problems, but I have to say they were very apologetic and keen to put things right.

The flexibility of extra modes help to simply have fun creating many sound scapes while also encouraging persisting with the pure concept of a traditional theremin. The Theremini will help musicians make real music, while folk like me can explore musical sounds in all forms. A really engaging development by Moog, Bob Moog started by making classic theremins and I'm sure he'd be proud of what his legacy has produced in the Theremini...

Ik heb de Theremini aangeschaft omdat ik al lang geïnteresseerd ben in de theremin en zijn geluid, en de prijs voor dit instrument redelijk is. En tot nog toe stelt deze niet teleur! Het leren spelen vergt nog wel enige tijd, maar is gemakkelijker dan ik verwacht had, en de variabele pitch correctie - die ervoor zorgt dat je naar de dichtstbijzijnde toon springt - gaat steeds lager.

Voor nu is de standaard modus goed om in te leren spelen, hoop op termijn over te gaan op de theremin modus die meer lijkt op een analoge theremin wat betreft bediening. (Om aan te sluiten bij een eerdere review, in de theremin modus is het mogelijk het master volume te wijzigen via een van de draaiknoppen.)

De synthesizer van het apparaat geeft leuke geluiden om mee te spelen, maar met de software op de computer zijn hier goede theremingeluiden mee te maken (het standaard geluid is te brommerig naar mijn zin, hou meer van een zingende-zaag geluid). De software hiervoor is wel nogal antiek, enig geduld is vereist.

Ze zeggen het probleem niet te kunnen vinden, maar ze willen niet voor mij bevestigen dat ze wel geprobeerd hebben een IPad aan te sluiten. Electro-technisch is er niets aan de hand - het is een software bug van Moog.

Het voornaamste probleem is dus nog niet opgelost. Ik heb een tegoedbon van Bax-shop.nl aangevraagd.

Mijn advies: de Theremini vermijden. Als je echt een Theremin wil kan je veel beter E160 meer uit geven voor een Moog Etherwave Theremin - omdat het puur analoog is - want blijkbaar is Moog geen ster in het ontwikelen van software.
