The Werkstatt-01: Moogfest Kit is a compact and patchable one-oscillator analogue synthesizer. Originally developed for the exclusive synth engineering workshops at Moogfest 2014, by popular demand the Workstatt-01 is now also available as a no-soldering-required edition.

Compact yet powerful synth

Assembly is easy, so any user will be able to quickly build - and even modify - this analogue synthesizer, which has been based on classic Moog circuits. The Werkstatt has been created to serve as an educational tool, but it’s an incredibly powerful, compact Moog synthesizer nonetheless. The Werkstatt-01 Moogfest kit has been designed and manufactured in the United States of America.

Wrote the following about Moog Werkstatt-01 Moogfest kit

De werkstatt 01 is voor mij elke cent waard. Lekker speelen experimenteeren of alleen maar om the samplen. Op Internet zijn er taalrijke mods te verkrijgen en het is een optimale instap in de wereld van analoge synths. De Werkstadt kan zonder meer ook in elk Eurorack verwerkt worden en is dadoor nog meer waard. KOOPJE wat je niet spijt.

Wrote the following about Moog Werkstatt-01 Moogfest kit

De goedkoopste Moog-synth op de markt. Niet de meest complete, maar dat wordt goedgemaakt door de extreme 'moddability'. Je kan de Werkstatt naar hartelust voorzien van een sequencer/arpeggiator met behulp van een Arduino kit, zelfs de LOF als tweede oscillator gebruiken met wat electronica-materiaal. Hoe, dat zie je op een aparte website van Moog: www.werkstattworkspace.com.
Een prima manier om te leren hoe een synth werkt. Maar op zichzelf ook een leuke aanvulling bij je bestaande synths. De optionele expander is een must have als je al modulair werkt, of de Werkstatt via control voltage wil aansluiten op analoge synths die met CV werken.
Niet voor de beginner, maar voor mij de eerste en laatste synth die ik in huis heb als ik de Moog sound wil horen :)
Minpunten : geen midi, maar kun je zelf maken; geen volume control, maar ook die kun je zelf maken.
De aangehaalde website leert je hoe.
En qua levering, alles perfect in orde :D Thx Bax ;)
