The Korala guitaleles are a crossover between a ukulele and a regular guitar. It is the same size as a ukulele and it has six strings like a standard guitar. Even though the tuning of the strings is a quarter higher than a full-size guitar (ADGCEA), the chords are played in exactly the same way, making it easy to switch between a traditional guitar and this cheerful little instrument. Not only is it ideal for children, it is also perfect for guitarists who are having trouble with the ukulele's alternate tuning.

Construction of the Korala PUG-40E-PK

As it is made of acoustically optimised polycarbonate, the Korala PUG-40 is exceptionally resistant to changes in temperature or humidity. Whereas a wooden instrument will easily loose its tuning when it gets ever so slightly colder, this Korala will retain its tuning excellently. Thanks to the piezo pickup, the PUG-40E is immensely versatile. You can plug it into an amplifier for increased volume, and use a guitar interface for easy digital recordings.
