The deep cup of the Yamaha MP BB 66D4 mouthpiece for tuba offers you a dark tone with more than enough volume. The tone character is symphonic and the mouthpiece is a perfect match for Eb instruments in a brass ensemble.
The Standard series
Whether you play tuba, French horn, trombone or another accessible brass instrument you probably know that the importance of the mouthpiece is not to be underestimated. Even the most subtle physical differences (down to the millimetre) can have a huge effect on sound and playability. Yamaha highlights this with a large series of mouthpieces made with high-end equipment. The choices are so expansive that they had to be divided up into different smaller series: Standard, GP, Silver 925 and Signature. The Standard series is great for versatile music and features perfect weight and playing characteristics for a friendly price.
