In many ways, the Roland Aerophone Pro AE-30 is a solidly enhanced and improved version of its predecessor. This digital wind instrument features a refined design and has been made using first-class parts to offer a superb playing experience and unprecedented expression. The default fingering of the Aerophone Pro is the same as that of an acoustic sax and includes a high F# key, but other fingerings and adjustable control elements are also supported to accommodate musicians who are used to different wind instruments.

The Roland Aerophone Pro AE-30: ZEN-Core

One of the freshest features of the Aerophone Pro includes the integration of Roland's ZEN-Core Synthesis System. This potent sound engine was recently introduced by other Roland-made flagships including the Fantom and Jupiter-X synthesizers. As such, the ZEN-Core engine driven Aerophone Pro offers an immense range of presets; many created by the world's most acclaimed wind-synth sound-designers. From vintage analogue synthesizer sounds to more modern, hybrid samples, everything is fully backed up by the rich expression and detailed articulation that only a wind instrument can deliver.

SuperNATURAL Technology

The number of wind instruments the Aerophone Pro is home to can easily be considered impressive. You basically get the pick of a complete brass and woodwind section, and whether you go for one of the new trumpets, the duduk, or simply a soprano, alto or tenor saxophone, it only takes a second to call up your preferred sound. Not only that, the Aerophone features SuperNATURAL technology to make sure you're able to give shape to subtle tonal nuances with flawless articulation across a large dynamic range. There are even built-in effects such as chorus, delay and reverb that can be dropped in to colour-up the sound at will, and the internal memory has room for 600 user scenes plus another 512 user tones.

Roland Aerophone Pro Bluetooth-MIDI

Since technological and hardware-based developments never cease, the Aerophone Pro has been equipped with some of the latest technological tweaks - including Bluetooth-MIDI and a MIDI footswitch input. For silent late-night practice, a pair of headphones can be plugged in, while on stage, the AE-30 Pro can be hooked up to an amplifier via the fitted line output. The small OLED display can be viewed from all angles for eased setting navigation, and for access to even more options, Roland offer the Aerophone Pro Editor app for both iOS and Android devices.

Een instrument dat zeer de aandacht waard is. De concurrentie slaapt niet. Rolant AE synthesizer Het is van de bovenste plank en van het hoogste niveau. Om nog meer details te kunnen geven, heb ik meer tijd nodig. Elk moment met dit instrument is magisch. Eersteklas software. Je kunt van het instrument zelf houden, je kunt het multitasken. Levering van Bax Music zoals altijd op hoog niveau. Samenwerking en contact zoals altijd TOP!!!

Ik ben voornamelijk een hobby gitarist. Ik wou ook al langer een blaasinstrument leren bespelen maar woon op een appartement.
Ik vind de ae 30 geweldig. Je kan dit instrument leren bespelen adhv een gewone cursus voor saxofoon.
Qua sax klank gebruik ik wel niet de interne sounds maar wel een oude yamaha vl 70 m module met patchman chip.Andere optie is SWAM Sax.

PS: nog een tip of drie (of eigenlijk meer eigen wensen ;-): voor als Roland dan toch aan de slag gaat met een grote systeemwijziging zoals de door mij voorgestelde nieuwe ergonomie.

A. Graag ook CV uitgangen om een modulaire synthesizer aan te sturen voor ieder van de aanwezige sensoren:
1. blaassterkte,
2. bite,
3. duimwiel,
4. verticale positie,
5. horizontale positie.

Weet niet zeker of dat al aanwezig is maar voor de volledigheid hierbij als PS erbij vermeld.

B. Het zo helemaal prachtig zijn als naast de bite sensor er nog een sensor bij het riet geplaatst kan worden die de grootte van het raakoppervlak van onderlip met het riet omzet in een signaal. Dit (groote raakoppervlak) is namelijk het belangrijkste aspect bij de dynamische klankvorming door een houtblazer.

C. En nu ik toch aan het wensdromen geslagen ben: een 3e sensor bij het riet om de blaasrichting te detecteren. Een houtblazer kan namelijk de hoofdrichting van de luchtstroom iets wijzigen. Vooral in de verticale dimensie. Daar zou in dit geval ook nog in de horzontale dimensie een sensor aan toegevoegd kunnen worden. Tijdens fysiek houtblazer maakt links rechts niet uit maar uiteraard wel recht door het midden of schuin naar een zijkant. M.b.v. een sensor zou dan ook onderscheid tussen links en rechts gemaakt kunnen worden.

Dit is een mooie eerste serieuze poging van een blaasinstrument waarbij de embouchure (dat is hoe een rietblazer een enkel riet op de onderlip laat rusten) mede een rol speelt naast de voor de hand liggende uitgeoefende blaaskracht.

Het uiterlijk is als zeer strak tegenpool van de ronde saxofoon vormen die door iedereen zo gewaardeerd worden. Ik vind dat jammer. Maar meer nog, ergonomisch waan je je als saxofonist zoals een concertpianist zich op de eerste casio toetsenbordjes gevoeld moet hebben. En dat is jammer voor deze verder goede poging.

1 ster voor de moeite, 2e voor de serieuze poging en een 3e ter aanmoediging.

Mijn tip aan Roland: doe het hele fysieke ontwerp in de ban en vervang door een echte saxofoon. In China zitten talloze workshops die saxofoons met uitstekende ergonomische finesse weten uit te brengen voor slechts een paar honderd euro. Plaats in ieder toongat een reedkontakt en in iedere klep een magneetje en maak dan nog een paar uitbreidingen voor de knoppen die je dan nog mist. Zoals de bediening voor meerdere octaven in plaats van de 2 waarover de fysieke saxofoon beschikt.

Persoonlijk zou ik voor een dergelijke uitvoering zeker € 2.000 over hebben, dus dat moet allezins haalbaar zijn. Gelet op het aantal B-stock aanbiedingen van dit poduct ben ik wellicht niet de enige die er zo over denkt. Die van mij gaat terug, was al een B-stock dus zal die voorraad niet wijzigen.
