With a smartphone and a camera, you can record sound as well as images, of course, but it won't always be the best sound. Such a microphone in the phone or photo camera is also just a cheap component, don't make it too expensive so it doesn't scare consumers off in terms of price. But yes, if you are a connoisseur in terms of sound, then you do want to invest in a real microphone brand, such as the ever-popular RØDE. This Wireless Micro Camera Kit is yet another feat that is going to be popular with cameramen and interviewers.

How does the RØDE Wireless Micro Camera Kit work?

What's the case: this kit consists of a case, containing four devices. Two of them are clip-on microphones, which you can clip to an interviewer and interview candidate's clothing. You can then choose which device you want to capture and record this dialogue on. If you choose your smartphone (iOS, Android), you pick the smartphone receiver, if you choose your camera, you pick the camera receiver. So very simple in concept, but exactly what you need in many situations. It's all battery work, you can expect seven hours of service for both transmitters (the clip-ons, that is) and receivers (the camera/smartphone receivers). And in an hour or two, 'tis charged again (the case is the charger).
