The Beyerdynamic TG100-H is a compact wireless system that consists of a handheld microphone and a receiver. Simply connect the receiver to a mixer or active speaker, for instance, and provide the microphone with two AA batteries. That’s all you need to get to work with this practical Beyerdynamic bundle. Both the microphone and receiver feature a channel-selection switch. You can switch between eight channels, which means that up to eight wireless sets can be used simultaneously on the VHF frequency band that the TG100 uses.

The durable microphone of the TG100 features the super-cardioid pickup pattern, which makes it especially sensitive for sources directly in front of the capsule. This means that sound from the environment isn't picked up as much, so that the vocals or speech are clearly registered. Also, the chances of feedback are reduced. Set the gain switch of the microphone to high or low for sources that are quite far away or close-by, respectively. Furthermore, the mic will last up to ten hours on two AA batteries and you can switch the microphone off when you're not using it.

Using the receiver

The TG100-R is a practical receiver with two extendible antennas. With the microphone, you can move up to 80 metres away from the receiver. The signal is sent to the mixer from this receiver - you can use the 6.3mm jack output or balanced XLR output to do so! You can control the volume at which the TG100 puts out the microphone signal with the volume knob at the front. At the rear you'll find a Speech/Voice button that allows you to select whether the sound should be optimised for vocals or speech.
