If you need just a little bit more from your wireless microphone system than what the regular plug-and-play sets offer, the AKG WMS 470 is just what you need. The SR 470 receiver of this system displays all available frequencies from which you can select the most suitable one. This is very practical when you are using several wireless systems. A connection with the transmitter, to allow for synchronisation, is easily made via infrared. This set contains the HT 470 condenser microphone with C5 capsule. This is a great-sounding handheld microphone that is especially well suited for lead vocals.

This receiver has a width of half a 19-inch rack, a fully metal housing and it is equipped with balanced as well as unbalanced outputs. It is equipped with a large LCD screen on which all the important information can be made out: RF level, audio signal, the frequency or group, the channel and the name of the unit. When irregularities like volume peaks, a low battery voltage or signal fallout occur, the lighting of the display changes so that you are kept well-informed about the functioning of your wireless system at all times. The SR 470 is equipped with volume controls at the front so that you won't have to fiddle withthe back of dark 19-inch racks. This means that the HT 470 provide a warm sound with a lot of clarity and definition in the high frequencies. This makes it very well suited for vocal and speech amplification. The HT 470 can easily be synchronised with the receiver via an infrared transmitter/receiver. It merely requires a press of the button to attune both devices to an available frequency. The WMS 470 wireless system uses a so-called pilot tone. No sound signal is passed on by the receiver until a stable pilot tone is established between the transmitter and receiver. In practice, this means that you won't be bothered by a loud popping noise when you turn the microphone. Very practical!
