Bearing the very best that Guild has to offer, this guitar has an all-solid build including a solid Sitka spruce soundboard, a solid rosewood back and solid rosewood sides. Inside, scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing enhances the natural timbre of this all-solid wood combo with unparalleled clarity and a powerful mid-range presence that could be compared to that of a harp, and this broad and full sound is captured in detail by the integrated LR Baggs Anthem preamp system which combines a piezo pickup and microphone to near-flawless effect. Adjust the balance between the mic and pickup and tweak the tone and volume to shape the amplified sound and engage the phase control to filter out any of the frequencies that might case feedback.
The Guild F-512E has been given a mighty look to match the mighty sound. The soundboard has been coated in a Maple Blonde lacquer to match the light flamed maple body and set off the dark ebony fretboard, while a set of V-block abalone and mother-of-pearl position markers and a dark nitrocellulose scratchplate provide elegant finishing touches.
