In its third reincarnation, Mackie's sturdy, all-purpose SRM series is more powerful than ever. The SRM 450 V3 offers the best of both worlds: it weighs under 17 kilos, but is quite sturdy and durable thanks to its high-grade polypropylene housing and metal grill with weather-resistant coating. The speaker's 12-inch woofer and 1.4-inch compression driver are powered with 400 and 100 watts RMS respectively, and have a combined peak power of 1,000 watts. A class D amplifier drives the woofer in an efficient manner, resulting in very little heat generation. As such, the SRM450V3 doesn't need any fans - convection cooling suffices.

Thanks to a wide frequency response - starting at 47 Hz (at -3 dB) - the SRM 450 V3 is a real all-rounder. Four Speaker Modes (PA, DJ, Monitor and Solo) ensure the perfect voicing for any application. From music and speech to performance, Mackie's active 2-way speaker does justice to your audio. A built-in Feedback Destroyer with four different settings can optionally be switched off if you're not using any microphones and eliminates any annoying feedback for you.

Practical

The SRM 450 V3 is an exceptionally practical speaker that can handle more than PA jobs. It can be placed at a 40-degree tilt, for instance, to serve as a monitor. Select the Monitor voicing and Mackie provides you with crystal-clear sound for your live performances. The SRM450 V3 is equipped with two XLR jack combo connectors and an RCA line input. You can mount the speaker on a distance rod or a speaker stand, or fly it using three integrated M10 rigging points (M10x1.5x20).
