Immense power in a rugged housing
The PRX718XLF owes its relatively light weight of 36.8 kg to the specially designed Dual Coil Drive (DCD) woofer and the very efficient digital class-D power-amp circuit. Despite its light weight, this subwoofer is able to produce an immensely high continuous output of 1,500 watts. The sub's rectangular housing is made of sturdy plywood and covered with JBL's rugged Duraflex lacquer. There's a countersunk M20 threaded pole socket on the top for a distance rod to mount a top cabinet on. The grill is made of powder-coated steel and features an acoustically transparent fabric on the inside.
