Mackie's SRM1550 is another addition to the successful SRM series, designed specifically for use with the SRM 350 and SRM 450 active loudspeakers. Boasting a 15” woofer, a 3” voice coil, and a 1200-watt internal amplifier, the SRM1550 is not only built to make some noise, but it's also 'built like a tank', according to Mackie themselves.

Construction

As just stated, this subwoofer is built to survive the roughest parties. The sturdy poplar housing is made of 18mm-thick planks and fitted with a steel grill, which is what makes the SRM1550 so wearproof. Mackie SRM1550 active subwoofer

Na een avontuur met de butget merken die pronken met hoge nep wattages hadden we onze laatste hoop op deze Mackie. Helemaal top. Aansluiten en gewoon doen wat hij moet doen. Super mooie strakke sound. Tuurlijk kan het nooit hard genoeg maar de Makkie heeft een super goede klip. Gewoon niet hoorbaar als hij overbelast wordt. Hij weet exact wat hij kan en gaat daar niet boven. Er zijn best nog betere subs maar die zijn ver boven ons budget en niet te tillen. Grote dank aan de engineers van Mackie die wel waarmaken wat ze opgeven. Onbegrijpelijk dat die flut merken met hun nep specs weg komen. Bax zou hiervoor moeten waarschuwen. Dan hadden we al die zooi niet heen en weer hoeven te sturen.
