General

Part of the SUB 700 Series, the RCF SUB 708-AS MK3 active subwoofer packs 700 Watts of power and comes housed in a relatively compact unit. This bold bass bin peaks at 1,400W and is cut out for live sound, especially whenever having lots of headroom is more than welcome. The SUB 705-AS is driven by a class-D amplifier and is capable of reaching 129-131dB sound pressure levels - the kind you'll not only hear, but feel.

Selectable Stereo Crossover Frequency

This 18-inch active sub can be teamed up with 8 or 10-inch speakers and features a rear control panel fitted with volume, EQ, polarity and delay controls. In addition, you're set up with a stereo crossover for optimum frequency range separation and properly balanced, fully dynamic sound.

Electronic Equalising and Soft-Limiting

The built-in electronic equalizer comes with two selectable presets in the form of a low-pass filter (from 80Hz) and a high-pass filter (from 110Hz), while the integrated soft limiter ensures a smooth transition when going from an unlimited to a limited signal. Last but not least, RCF have built in protection circuits to counter overheating and clipping.

Wrote the following about RCF SUB 708-AS MK3 18-inch Active Subwoofer

Ik gebruik de RCF SUB 708-AS MK3 in combinatie met 2x RCF ART 912-A, en ik ben hier echt ontzettend blij mee. Deze subwoofer maakt de set helemaal compleet. De 912’s klinken van zichzelf al krachtig en helder, maar met deze 18 inch sub erbij krijgt het geheel veel meer body, diepte en druk.

Wat mij vooral opvalt, is hoe strak en gecontroleerd de bas blijft. Hij gaat lekker diep en geeft veel punch, zonder dat het geluid modderig wordt. Samen met de RCF 912A’s vormt hij een hele mooie combinatie: helder hoog en midden vanuit de tops, met daaronder een stevige en professionele laagweergave.

Voor feesten, optredens en events geeft deze set echt vertrouwen. De sub levert genoeg vermogen, vult de ruimte goed en zorgt ervoor dat de muziek veel voller en indrukwekkender overkomt. Gewoon aansluiten en gaan, zonder gedoe.

Ik ben er heel tevreden over. Voor mij is de RCF SUB 708-AS MK3 samen met 2x RCF 912A een geweldige combinatie: krachtig, strak, betrouwbaar en professioneel. Absoluut een aanrader voor wie zijn RCF tops wil aanvullen met een serieuze actieve 18 inch subwoofer.
