Whether it's a tweed, a classic low-gain amp or a tube amp without master volume, this tube boasts an authentic, deep sound with defined mid-frequencies and super-soft highs.

TAD 12AY7/6072A highgrade: wide sweet spot

The TAD 12AY7/6072A Selected delivers less output than the standard 12AX7 tubes but they do deliver that vintage sound you crave. With significantly more headroom and a wider sweet spot, this tube allows you more control over your sound. The sound remains responsive to your attack and provides old-school definition. This preamplifier tube does not need to be matched and can be used in combination with any power amp tube.

prima vervanging voor een 12AX7, als je meer headroom wil en een controleerbare sound zonder meteen knalhard te zijn. Werkt nog steeds prima met pedalen

Tube Amp Doctor, or TAD for short, has two new additions to their impressive lineup of amplifier tubes: the 12AY7/6072A Highgrade and the 12AY7/6072A Selected preamp tubes. These preamp tubes offer less gain than the standard 12AX7 tubes that virtually every modern tube amp is equipped with. Instead, they offer a beautiful vintage tone.
