The Boss W-TAE Core has been specially designed to pull maximum potential out of any valve amplifier with an output of up to 100 Watts. This portable unit gives the sound quality and the flexibility a hefty boost, all while weighing just over 2 kilos. This innovative tool features selectable Reactive Load circuits for your combo or head, ensuring that the natural character of your rig is transferred in full and, whether you use the line or speaker ports, the Waza Tube Amp Expander Core guarantees authentic sound and playing response, so you gain the perfect volume control solution whether you're gigging or recording.

The Boss W-TAE Core: Full Depth

When it comes to recording, the Boss Tube Amp Expander consistently delivers studio-quality sound. All of this is made possible by functions like Air Feel, Cabinet Impulse Response and Mix Assist, which only expand the ease of use. The Air Feel feature simply creates a natural-sounding vibe while deepening the sound and packing it with room-filling life. The Mix Assist function optimises your guitar sound, prepping it for professional recording, mixing and mastering. Next to that, you get a full pack of 22 speaker cabinet emulations, each captured with microphones to ensure surgical quality and precision. The list includes digital IRs from big names like Celestion and 64 empty slots are also provided, so you can load in your own custom IRs as mono or stereo WAV files with a 32-bit floating point resolution at 96kHz. You even have five different virtual microphones to choose from, two of which can be selected and mixed to create your own personalised rig sound.

Full Sound at Any Volume

The Boss W-TAE Core also piles on some premium stereo effects, including compression, delay, reverb and a parametric or graphic equalizer so you gain full and detailed control over the output. The Rig dial switch mounted on the front panel supplies space for storing and calling up a maximum of 10 of your favourite settings, while the external effects loop supports your pedalboard, which can be connected up in series or parallel. All of that, alongside the rich, dynamic and complex guitar sound you can get at any volume level, courtesy of the reactive drive power amp which has been developed according to the Boss Tube Logic philosophy. Balanced XLR line outputs have also been fitted on the rear panel for secure and direct connection to recording equipment or a PA system, and that's next to the USB port, which can be used for direct recording and software editing. Other useful extras include a headphone output, a speaker output for linking up your cab and, to gain access to wireless sound editing using compatible apps, the BT-DUAL Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter (sold separately) is also fully supported.
