While the core remains true to the original circuit, various functions have been added, including a unique colouring option and in-depth processing options. The Bus+: High-Quality Components and Advanced Routing Options

The compressor circuit is home to first-rate components only, including 2181 THAT VCAs that ensure sweet-and-warm analogue sound. The Bus+ offers four different operating modes and three distinct compression modes that each add a specific colour to the timbre to match the style of the song you're working on, while the signal can be routed as needed. It's also worth mentioning that SSL have built in a number of brilliantly practical tools like a Dynamic Equaliser (D-EQ) and a Transient Expander, and all of the potentiometers can be dialled in and 'read' by a microcontroller for the right circuit configuration or extremely accurate parameter tweaks. That means the tolerances are high, which is perfect for high-end mixing and mastering.
