The beating heart of the SSL BiG SiX is the SuperAnalogue™ technology which helps to combine SSL's design philosophy, resourcefulness and dedication into a highly detailed, highly optimised bit of kit.

The Power of SuperAnalogue™

Every channel of the BiG SiX is equipped with more than enough options to create unforgettable sounds shaped through classic E-Series 3-band equalisation. SSL have even built a 2:1-ratio compressor with adjustable attack (8-30ms) and 300ms release time into all of the channels, each of which is based on SuperAnalogue™ preamps for swift, punchy sound whether using a standard studio microphone or a real ribbon mike. On top of all of that, each channel features a hi-Z line input, 48V phantom power supply, a high-pass filter and its own polarity switch while, to accommodate flexible use, the 16-channel 96 kHz / 24-bits USB audio interface section offers extensive routing options.

Thanks to the legendary G-Series Bus Compressor and the energy and drive it's able to inject, the Solid State Logic BiG SiX sounds absolutely phenomenal. ConvenientThe fixed 4:1 ratio, 30ms attack and 100ms release time allow you to use the built-in compressor without second-thought in most situations, or you can use the Auto-Release function to have the release time of the compressor automatically tweaked as needed in real-time.
