General

This is the souped-up next-gen edition of the Polyphia guitarist's signature model. The uber-deluxe Ibanez Tim Henson Signature TOD10 six-string comes dipped in silver and touched by the very gods. Beneath the paint-job, the solid ST-style basswood body lays down a mid-rich core sound which has been filled out with the lush resonance of an ultra-stable roasted maple neck. The AZ Oval C profile carve and twenty-four stainless steel medium-jumbo frets provide near-effortless playability, while the dark ebony fretboard comes adorned with an intricate Tree of Death inlay to polish off the look. This singular electric guitar comes pre-wrapped in a form-fitting gig bag.

Just as the build quality and playing comfort of this model manage to hit every mark squarely in the face, the electronics, hardware and pickups of the TOD10 are also firmly on point. The two-pack of Fishman Fluence Tim Henson Signature humbuckers lay the sonic foundations, and from there, a push-pull Fishman Voicing Switch per pickup scrolls through three of Tim's go-to tonal profiles. Basically, you're getting the pick of an insanely diverse, technicolour array of double and single-coil sounds, and of course, none of it would be complete without the stable tuning, intonation and pure vibrational transfer supplied by a set of Gotoh MG-T locking tuners, a Graph Tech nut, and the articulate vibrato action of the mounted Gotoh T1502 tremolo bridge.

Wrote the following about Ibanez Tim Henson Signature TOD10 Electric Guitar with Gig Bag

Met mooie korting een b-stock TOD gekocht. Alleen de originele doos ontbrak, verder nergens iets van gebruikssporen te zien. De afstelling vanuit de fabriek was niet super, maar dat is in de winkel ter plekke gefixt. Een wereld van verschil!

Als RG speler is het heel even wennen. De hals heeft namelijk eerder een strat feel. Maar zoals je dat van Ibanez kunt verwachten een heerlijke hals. De premium afwerking doet niet onder voor een prestige. Echt goed. En toonzuiver over de hele hals en goede sustain. De gitaar is lekker licht en heeft een goede balans. De gotoh tremelo doet zijn werk perfect, ook zonder locking nut (wel zo handig) blijft de gitaar in tune. De sound vd elementen is verrassend helder zonder schel te worden. Veel mogelijkheden door de verschillende voicings. Erg tevreden al met al :)
