General

The Color Sound 900 series by Paiste has the same sound and characteristics as their 900 series, with one major difference: colour. This 22-inch ride is made of Paiste's own CuSn8-Bronze alloy which has been hammered and aligned by hand into a medium-heavy weight cymbal and given an eye-catching thin red coating. The result is a full, powerful sound with warm undertones. The bell has a fairly flat profile and runs smoothly into the bow. Finally, this cymbal's wide range makes it suitable for virtually any musical genre.

Color Sound 900

Paiste has had coloured cymbals in their assortment since 1984, but they've only recently breathed new life into them with their Color Sound 900 series. The range is based on Paiste's 900 series but each cymbal has a different-coloured coating on top. This coating is very thin but durable and scratch-proof. Besides the visual aspect, the coating gives these cymbals a drier sound with a shorter sustain and bigger attack.
