Hohner's MS series
This Big River is a part of the MS series by Hohner, which stands for Modular System. This means that all parts of these harmonicas are replaceable. This is very handy if a certain part breaks, or if you want to experiment with creating your own sound by experimenting with the different parts. The reed plates of these harmonicas can even be changed separately.

Big River Harp MS C
All harmonicas are tuned in a certain key, in this case the key of C. This key is often used to play along to music in the key of G. This makes the Big River very well suited for use on stage, where it will maintain its own unique and characteristic sound.

Heeft op fora een ietwat mindere reputatie, maar ik snap de online hate voor de Big River Harp niet goed. Hij lekt inderdaad een beetje, maar is goed luid, vrij eenvoudig te benden, enkele noten spelen gaat heel goed enzo. Eigenlijk een zeer mooie harmonica voor een beginner. Hij kost dan ook wat minder dan de iets betere modellen van Hohner. Voelt vrij groot aan in de mond.
Leuk, vast doosje (in tegenstelling tot de losse doosjes van duurdere modellen, vreemd genoeg).
Hohner stelt niet teleur.
